He was 86 years old. Mr. Lieftinck, who was born on Sept. 30, 1902, became a lifelong member of the Dutch Labor Party. He devoted his life to monetary and tax reform and served as a delegate to the World Bank and the I.M.F. in Washington from 1956 to 1976. He was Finance Minister from 1945 to 1952 and oversaw the financial side of the Netherlands’ recovery from the destruction of World War II..
